Mini Egg Traybake

Ingredients
- 150 g 5.3oz unsalted butter, softened
- 150 g 5.3oz granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 150 g 5.3oz self-raising flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 100 g 3.5oz Cadbury Mini Eggs, roughly chopped
- 100 g 3.5oz milk chocolate, chopped
- 100 g 3.5oz white chocolate, chopped
- Additional Mini Eggs for decorating optional
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease and line a 20cm (8-inch) square baking tin with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Sift the self-raising flour and baking powder into the bowl and gently fold them into the mixture until just combined.
- Stir in the chopped Cadbury Mini Eggs, milk chocolate, and white chocolate until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking tin and spread it out evenly with a spatula.
- If desired, press additional Mini Eggs into the top of the batter for decoration.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove the traybake from the oven and allow it to cool completely in the tin before removing and slicing into squares.
