A wedding preparation process involves preparing the guest lists, sending out wedding invitations, picking a dream venue, and deciding on the flower arrangements. In December 2024, the Golden Globe nominee actress and singer Selena Gomez announced her engagement to music producer and songwriter Benny Blanco on Instagram.
Gomez, 32, shared photos of the engagement ring with her fans using the caption “forever begins now”, to which Blanco responded, “hey wait… that’s my wife”.
The two lovebirds have been officially dating since June 2023, although they had worked together a lot longer on the song I Can’t Get Enough and its music video (released in 2019).
The highly talented Gomez had her big break with Wizards of Waverly Place when she was just 15 years old. Since then, she has risen to fame winning a number of awards at major awards events, including the Cannes Film Festival, American Music Awards, and MTV Video Music Awards.
Earlier in 2024, she spoke publicly about her relationship with Blanco at an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, saying, “Without getting into too much detail, I think it’s just really important to meet someone that respects you”.
Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky
Fans of Lady Gaga found out about the singer’s engagement to entrepreneur and philanthropist Michael Polansky in a TikTok video posted on French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal’s account in July 2024. In the video, Lady Gaga was seen introducing Polansky as her fiancé to the French Premier at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The singer later revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live that Polansky popped the question right after her birthday in March.
The story of how they met will definitely make you think they are destined to be together. Polansky was introduced to the singer by her mother, who told her at the time, “I think I just met your husband”.
The couple went official on Instagram in February 2020 and has since been photographed together at public events numerous times. So, the decision to finally tie the knot hardly comes as a surprise to fans and their closest friends and family.

The news broke about the engagement between Adele and Rich Paul in August 2024 during unexpected circumstances at a concert in Munich. It happened at the month-long summer residency when a fan held up a board saying, “Will you marry me?”, to which Adele replied, “I can’t marry you…cause I’m already getting married,” seemingly confirming her engagement to Paul.
The British pop star and the sports agent, best known for big-name clients like LeBron James, first went public with their relationship in 2021.
“He’s just hilarious. And very smart…It’s quite incredible watching him do what he does,” Adele was quoted saying about her new beau in an interview with Oprah Winfrey soon after going public.

Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen
In November 2024, the Buffalo Bills’ star quarterback Josh Allen posted a photo on Instagram that showed him down on one knee with a ring in hand in front of his girlfriend, Hailee Steinfeld. He was seen popping the question in front of a pink and red rose arch by the ocean.
Soon, wishes started coming in for the couple from fellow footballers (like Isaiah Mckenzie and Taiwan Jones), friends, family, fans, and other well-wishers.
