The Network Behind The 0952 Prefix

The 0952 prefix is officially allocated to Smart Communications. If you see a number with this prefix, it was originally allocated by Smart Communications. However, due to Mobile Network Portability (MNP), it is possible that the number is no longer registered under Smart Communications and has been shifted to a different network.

Mobile Number Portability (MNP) And 0952 Numbers
The Mobile Number Portability service is becoming popular today. It allows users to change the network service provider without changing their mobile number, including its prefix. This is a useful service for customers, as it gives them freedom to choose without losing their mobile number.
The 0952 prefix is allocated to Smart Communications, and every number with this prefix was originally under this network. However, it is possible for a customer to opt for MNP and switch to any other network, without changing the number, including its prefix. So, mere checking of the prefix doesn’t provide conclusive evidence of a number’s service provider; it can be the original one who issued it or someone else.
